ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Claire, and I am the founder of Yoga with Clarity. I live and work in Doncaster with my triplet daughters who are currently studying hard at university, and my four cats.

I am someone who loves to feel fit and healthy, though my journey has been a bumpy one. My fitness and weight have reflected the peaks and troughs of my life, and fitness has always allowed me to find a balanced and happy existence. Yoga has been a pivotal thing throughout all of this, and whilst I have never been the most flexible, I have always appreciated the stillness and tranquillity that comes with it. Yoga helps me to become the best version of myself, both mentally and physically, inside and out, and I want to share this you. If you feel like you are sceptical, inflexible, unfit or feel as though you are out of shape, yoga may not have been something you have previously considered. I had felt the exact same and I am here to tell you this is a journey you shall not regret.

People are often curious about how I became inspired to teach, and I believe I have always had a warming to it, with my own father being a teacher. However, my main guiding influence was my own yoga teacher Pam Creed, who during my own teacher training was an amazing friend, teacher and mentor. Unfortunately, Pam was taken quite suddenly during the Covid pandemic, and this made me realise what is important in life. Her inspiration ignited a fire within me to continue my teaching and share my love of yoga and philosophy to others.

I have always been fascinated with the human body and how it works, influences and makes us who we are. My passion is to create an environment where my students feel empowered, comfortable in their own skin and feel acceptance in who they are. This is something I aim to explore through my coaching and yoga practice, providing support in enabling others to become physically, mentally and emotionally strong.

I am trained in Hatha Yoga, studying with Yogacampus, one of the UK’s top yoga teacher training centres, known for its non-dogmatic and authentic approach. Teacher training has helped deepen my knowledge in the science behind yoga- anatomy, physiology, teacher training techniques and philosophy.
